Middle and high school, minus the cramming

A test on Friday, a vocab list due Monday, a map quiz nobody warned you about. Knovli splits what you have to learn into a little to do each day, and the games count as practice.

Test on Friday? Start with the date

Give a deck the date of your test and the mastery plan splits it into short daily lessons, mixing new cards with ones from earlier days. Miss a day and it spreads what is left across the days you still have, so one bad night does not sink the plan.

A card counts as Proven once you have got it right in two different ways, so you can see what you really know before the test does.

Skip the typing

Take a photo of your notes or a textbook page and Knovli drafts the flashcards for you to check before anything is saved. Or look in Explore: if someone has already made a good deck for your class, copy it and cut what your teacher did not cover. Decks with the Content Expert badge were checked by someone qualified in that subject.

If your teacher uses Knovli

Join with your class code and your teacher’s decks and assignments are waiting when you sign in, with their due dates. It costs you nothing, and students in a class do not see ads.

When your teacher hosts a Group Play game, get in with the code at join.knovli.com. And if your teacher sets a goal for the class, Knovli tracks it for you and awards what it earns, which might be a badge or a homework pass.

Taking an AP course?

Where Knovli has mapped a subject, starting with AP U.S. History, its page under Subjects lists every concept in the course and shows how many you have proven, worked out from the decks and quizzes you have already done. So you can see which unit to review instead of guessing.

Your name stays yours

In a class, you appear under a generated player name on public leaderboards and in games with people outside your class, and your profile cannot be made public. Your email address is never shown to other users. How Knovli treats student data has the detail, and there is a page for your parents too.

Common questions

Is Knovli free for students?

Yes. You can build decks, study and play on the free plan, and a student in a teacher’s class does not pay.

Do I need a teacher to use it?

No. Anyone 13 or over can make their own account and study alone. A class simply adds your teacher’s decks and assignments.

What if I am under 13?

You can join with a class code from your teacher, or a parent or guardian can register you and give verified consent. You cannot sign up alone.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Knovli runs in a phone’s browser, and the iOS and Android apps use the same account and the same decks.
