1v1 — head to head
1v1 is Knovli reduced to its simplest competitive shape: you, one other person, the same questions. Send a challenge and get on with your day — they answer when they open it, and you find out how it went.
Challenge, or be challenged
Start a game against somebody and it waits for them. Challenges sent to you collect on your dashboard, so the mode works whether or not you are both online at the same moment.
Because a match does not need both people present, 1v1 survives contact with real schedules in a way live-only modes do not.
What you play for
A win earns XP like everything else on Knovli, holds your streak, and counts towards badges. Your record against the people you play regularly is its own kind of motivation.
Common questions
Does the other player have to be online?
No. A challenge waits on their dashboard until they open it.
Can I challenge someone in my class?
Yes. Classmates are the usual opponents, and the class leaderboard is where the results end up visible.
Is 1v1 free?
Yes, within the free plan’s monthly game allowance. A paid plan removes the limit.
