In Season — the collection Knovli is featuring right now
In Season is the collection Knovli is featuring at the moment: a handful of quizzes gathered around one subject, with challenges attached that are only open while the collection is running. It changes, which is the point — it is somewhere to look when you do not already know what you want to study.

What is in a collection
A collection is a small group of quizzes chosen to go together — a period of history, a branch of science, a part of the world — rather than everything Knovli has on a subject. It is short enough to finish.
- The quizzes
- Each opens like any other quiz on Knovli: pick a mode, pick a format, play. Nothing about a collection quiz is special once you are in it.
- Limited challenges
- Challenges scoped to the collection and open only while it is in season. They are the reason to play these quizzes rather than any others.
- Badges
- Finish a limited challenge and the badge is yours permanently. The challenge closes when the season ends; the badge does not.
Where to find it
The current collection is advertised on the Knovli homepage, above the Play band, alongside whichever challenges are open. Following it opens the season with its own title and artwork.
When nothing is in season the page says so and points at Explore, which is the whole catalogue rather than a chosen few.
Common questions
How often does the collection change?
There is no fixed schedule. A collection runs while it is relevant — a season, an exam period, an anniversary — and is replaced when the next one is ready.
Do I lose a badge when the season ends?
No. The challenge closes, so nobody new can start it, but a badge you have already earned stays on your profile permanently.
Can I still play the quizzes after the season ends?
Yes. The quizzes stay in Explore like any others. It is the limited challenges attached to them that close.
Is In Season the same as Trending?
No. Trending is worked out from what people are actually playing. In Season is chosen deliberately, and brings challenges of its own.
